Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

"Classes" – Any lesson, workshop or course offered by Little Lamb, whether in-person or online.

 

"Student" – The child or individual receiving instruction.

 

"Parent/Guardian" – The person who enrols a Student and is legally responsible for fees and compliance with these Terms.

 

"WhatsApp" – The messaging service operated by WhatsApp LLC (a Meta company) used by Little Lamb for operational communications.

 

2. Enrolment & Placement

1. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of a completed enrolment form and payment of the first month’s tuition.

2. Little Lamb reserves the right to recommend the most appropriate class level for each Student following an initial assessment.

 

3. Fees & Payment

1. Tuition is charged monthly and is payable within 10 days of the invoice date.

2. Accepted payment methods are FPS, bank transfer, credit card and any other method announced from time to time.

3. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly provided in §6 (Severe Weather) and §5 (Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons).

 

4. Scheduling

Class timetables are published on our website and may be amended with not less than seven (7) days’ notice, except in emergencies or where otherwise stated in §6.

 

5. Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons

1. Student absence – Parents must inform us at least 24 hours in advance to qualify for one (1) make-up lesson per calendar month, subject to availability within the same term.

2. Centre-initiated cancellation – If Little Lamb cancels a class for reasons other than severe weather (§6) we will either: (a) arrange a make-up lesson; or (b) credit the pro-rated fee to the following month.

 

6. Severe Weather Policy

Little Lamb follows the Hong Kong Observatory signal system:

 

6.1

Weather Condition: Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3, Amber Rainstorm Warning

Class Arrangement: ✅ Classes continue as usual

6.2

Weather Condition: Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning

Class Arrangement: ❌ Classes are suspended. Parents will be notified via WhatsApp at least two (2) hours before the scheduled start time.

 

1. If a class is suspended or a Student is absent due to the above signals, we will gladly arrange a make-up lesson within thirty (30) days. Tuition fees will not be deferred or refunded.

2. Parents who choose to keep their child at home when classes remain in session must notify us as early as possible so that we may plan staffing and space requirements.

3. The safety of Students and staff is our top priority. Little Lamb reserves the right to close the studio at its sole discretion if weather or transport conditions pose a risk.

 

7. Communications (Including WhatsApp Consent)

1. Little Lamb primarily uses email and WhatsApp to deliver operational messages such as schedule confirmations, homework assignments, class reminders, severe weather alerts and urgent notices.

2. Explicit Consent Requirement – By ticking the WhatsApp consent box on our enrolment form or by otherwise providing your mobile number for this purpose, you grant Little Lamb permission to send such messages via WhatsApp.

3. You may withdraw consent at any time by (a) replying “STOP” to a WhatsApp message, (b) emailing info@littlelambstudio.com, or (c) updating your preferences in our parent portal. Withdrawal may affect our ability to deliver timely updates and reminders.

4. Promotional or marketing messages will only be sent if you have given separate consent in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

5. Full details of how personal data is collected, processed and protected when using WhatsApp are set out in our Privacy Policy.

 

8. Liability & Insurance

1. Little Lamb maintains public liability and employee compensation insurance.

2. While all reasonable precautions are taken, participation in artistic and educational activities involves inherent risks. Parents/Guardians agree that Little Lamb is not liable for any loss, damage or injury except where caused by proven negligence.

3. Personal belongings are brought to the studio at the Student’s own risk.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, artwork, recordings and curricula are the intellectual property of Little Lamb or its licensors and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

 

10. Code of Conduct

1. Students must behave respectfully toward classmates, instructors and property.

2. Little Lamb reserves the right to refuse or terminate enrolment for serious or repeated misconduct, with any unused fees refunded at our discretion.

 

11. Amendments

We may amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, best practice or our business operations. The latest version will be posted on our website and will take effect fourteen (14) days after publication.

 

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute shall first be referred to mediation administered by the Hong Kong Mediation Council before litigation.
